Hello,

My father is 58 yrs old has hepatitis C and cirrohisis, has 2 tumors, nonresectable, one is 2 cm and the other is approx. 4 cm.  is CK an option?  I have been trying to reach the CK facility here in Houston but have not heard back yet, his doctors are wanting him to have TACE done on Monday and I wanted to check to see if this is possibly more effective?

thank you!

CK is certainly a reasonable option.  I would definitely obtain a consultation or opinion from that CK facility in conjunction with whatever else you are pursuing.

We would need to see the scans, but I think you would likely be a good candidate for CK treatment. Contact the team there in San Juan.

I am Hep-C patient, for routine checkup my GI suggested color dopler and found 3 lesions on liver and adviced to do CT & FNAC which confirmed 3 tumours of HCC in Segment V and VII, please advice if this technology can remove tumours, I am as healthy as normal person doing all my routine work, yesterday I showed it to oncologist in Kokilaben Ambani Hospital (Mumbai, India) and came to know about this technology they claim that only they have such machines. Please advice what should be line of treatment.

Thanks & Regards

It is likely that CK could be used, but we would need to see the scans before really saying. There are Cyberknife installations in Bangalore and Chennai. I have heard of plans to put one in Mumbai, but I don't know that it is operational yet. Don't get sold on some other machine - they cannot track motion and therefore can't treat the liver as well.
