Dear CyberKnife Patient Advocate, I hope this email finds you well! ZERO, the project to end prostate cancer, would like you to know about its upcoming national prostate cancer summit in Washington, DC on September 23-24, 2009.
This meeting will bring together advocates from across the country to speak up about prostate cancer and raise awareness of the importance of federal funding and other issues.
Last year, the summit brought more than 100 advocates to Capitol Hill to bolster support among existing friends in Congress and to make a strong impression with the dozens of others who will be elevated to leadership positions in key committees that recommend increases in federal funding and control other important prostate cancer legislation.
This year ZERO will coordinate Congressional appointments during your visit to meet with your Representative and Senators on Capitol Hill. Once your reservations have been confirmed by ZERO they will send you more information.
IMPORTANT: Zero has a limited number of scholarships available. If you are interested in attending, please see the attached details including a scholarship application. DEADLINE FOR SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION IS FRIDAY, SEPT, 21 at 5:00 ET.
