I get these stabbing pains in my face, just under my eye and just below the bone. It feels like someone is trying to push their finger into the skin and slides along for about 3 inches toward my nose. I get it on both sides, but predominately on the left side. About the same time that this TN started I was also getting pins and needles feeling in both shins. This sounds like peripheral neuropathy. I am not diabetic (not that I know of). Could these 2 new symptoms be signs of MS? DrMom

I doubt it but perhaps you should consult with your neurologist.

I doubt this is trigeminal neuralgia, and it sound more like atypical facial pain. TN is rarely on both sides. Definitely see your neurologist
