Hi, I'm new to this forum, I was diagnosed 2 1/2 years ago with a 2mm acoustice neuroma and 60% hearing loss in my right ear. I've been a watch & wait patient up until last week, the AN hasn't changed, (they don't think, the MRI's have been done in different locations), but my hearing has dratically reduced to almost nothing in my right ear. Does any one know if hemangiomas of the spine are related somehow to AN's? 9 years ago, I suffered severe sudden pain in my back, turns out I had a hemangioma in my spine which caused my vertebrae (T to collapse. I was lucky enough to have a wonderful surgeon perform kyphoplasty on me and rebuild my vertebrae. Do you think these two conditions could be related? Just a thought, so many thoughts after reading so many stories. Also, has anyone been treated in Syracuse for their AN? Thanks for your input! lise'

I don't think they are related. THere is a very small chance your hearing could improve after treatment, but that is unusual.
